Dame Esther Rantzen DBE -Why The Good Grief Trust is so important
Press enquiries
Linda trained as a child in drama and musical theatre, working extensively in television in her early years. She is currently a guest presenter for QVC, a published author and has run several businesses in her portfolio career. She is regularly interviewed on TV and radio, discussing issues around grief and bereavement. Linda, as all members of the Board, works voluntarily for The Good Grief Trust and is dedicated to running the charity as Chief Executive, combining the day to day work of a fledging non-profit organisation, with family life.
Her research over the past 3 years has led her to work extensively with both the bereaved and health professionals. She has worked closely with the National Council of Pallative Care on their People in Partnership Group, and has visited a number of hospitals through their 'Building on the Best' Programme, mapping the standards of bereavement provision. Linda is passionate about trying to help break the taboos around grief and bereavement and is a regular speaker at regional and national Health Care Conferences across the country, talking about her own grief experiences and her vision for The Good Grief Trust.
