The National Bereavement Partnership (NBP) provides a support helpline; counselling referral service and befriending programme, for all those suffering from bereavement, grief, living loss, mental health issues, and those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The trained volunteers provide information, advice and support to the general public, the NHS workers struggling with the stress of witnessing the mounting Coronavirus death toll, as well as those working in care settings. The national freephone helpline offers support specifically dedicated to managing emotional impact and mental wellbeing. The charity runs a befriending program and where needed, counselling referrals.
Members of the public can reach the NBP’s support helpline on 0800 448 0800, operational 365 days of the year, 7am-10pm, in addition to SMS, e-mail, online webchat and via social media. Counsellors and psychotherapists are recruited specifically for their appropriate skill sets. They will be on hand to offer practical advice, support and assistance.
