Griefchat online support
Most people expect to be very upset or distressed when someone close to them has died. What takes many people by surprise is how strong the emotions can be, how they can change very quickly, and how long they last. People around you may seem to think you should be ‘back to normal’ after a few weeks or months. You might appear to be your usual self to other people, but you know that on the inside, you’re not even sure what normal is anymore.
Click here for more info or click on the chat box on the bottom right.

Pop along and enjoy a coffee, cake and listen to Elvis on their record player. Offering peer to peer support in the local community is something that’s been part of the plan for The Wooden box so National Grief Awareness Week was the ideal time to launch the cafe. It will continue in the new year on a regular basis.
NGAW Virtual Cafe Loss Through Addiction
Please join our host Carol, who sadly lost her husband Miles in 2019 through alcohol addiction. Carol found that in her grief she felt lost and alone. After attending our online virtual cafe she found it a safe space where she could share her experience without judgement. This cafe is the first but will continue on a regular basis later in the year.
An audience with Kathryn Mannix & Greg Wise
Join Dr Kathryn Mannix & Greg Wise, along with our panel of bereaved guests, to talk about the importance of listening to those who are bereaved and how we support our grieving friends and family. Help Freddie’s Wish make 7th December 2021 the best #DonutDay yet!
This is the day where Freddie’s Wish are asking you to take a selfie eating a Donut and share it with them on social media. Remember to tag them and use the #Donutday hashtag
This awareness day originates from the fact that the last thing Freddie ate before his accident was a mini donut and when Charlotte (Freddie’s Mummy) arrived home 3 days later without him, poignantly there was still a half-eaten Donut sat on his highchair. So, they thought what better way to sugar coat a tragic day than to embrace the donut in his memory and to get people talking about grief and the impact it has on them all. Let’s use the donut to get people talking and #SpreadSomeWarmth.
