This will be our 4th year that Mortlake Crematorium taking part in the 5K Park Walk and Park Run as part of grief awareness week.
This year there will be groups running at the Kingston Park Walk Run and Gunnersbury park Walk/Run . Mortlake staff will be at the Kingston Park Walk/Run and Lucy Fergusson (Celebrant) will be at the Gunnersbury Park walk/Run.
We chose Kingston this year as it is much flatter than Richmond Park and thought that might encourage more people to join us. You are of course welcome to run at any park run you usually attend. You will need to register (it is free) for Park Run and you can do this on the following link https://www.parkrun.org.uk/register/.
We have the T-Shirts and anyone running at whichever park run is welcome to a free T-Shirt – or you may prefer to wear a T-shirt for your preferred bereavement charity. Please pick up next time you are at the Crematorium.
We will meet on Saturday 3rd December at 08.45 at the race start –hopefully you will see lots of people wearing the Good Grief T Shirts.
You may be running in memory of someone, and you are welcome to set up your personal sponsorship for your preferred Charity. We have set up a sponsorship page on the Much Loved website and this is the link https://parkrun.celebrationpage.org/.
We have had some people who would prefer to make a donation rather than walk/run (due to injury or other commitments) and you are more than welcome to do that – our bereavement Charity this year is West London SANDs (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity)
