As NHS Staff, the experience of grief and loss can really affect us at work -through losing patients and colleagues, or in how we manage personal loss in jobs which are themselves often very emotionally demanding. This meeting will focus on the loss of a patient, which many staff will have experienced.
Grief Cafes aim to give staff the chance to connect with others, talk about grief and loss at work in an informal group setting and have time to think about these big topics. You might be thinking about a recent experience or something that happened a while ago. You can chat with other staff, just listen or simply enjoy some refreshments. This isn’t a counseling group – it’s a kind and supportive space to share stories, hopes and fears about loss in the workplace, with other staff. All are welcome!
