The Carers Information Service
At the Carers Information Service, we offer information, advice and support to carers and former carers in Croydon. A carer looks after a friend, family member or neighbour who needs their help due to illness, disability or old age. Our Bereavement Service offers carers and former carers the following services:
One to one Bereavement Counselling
Currently by phone due to Covid-19 restrictions, these sessions are run by our BACP registered Carers Bereavement Counsellor.
Bereavement Cafes
Themed monthly bereavement cafes to encourage those grieving to share their feelings and to know that there are others who understand what they are going through. Isolation is often felt after a bereavement, and one of the aims of this service is to reduce feelings of loneliness. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, this is currently operating via Zoom.
Learning from Loss Groups
A seven week programme offering carers and former carers the opportunity to explore their feelings during the themed sessions.
For further information on these services, please contact our Carers Bereavement Counsellor, Tanya Fitzgerald, at [email protected] / 020 8649 6280
