Good Grief Recipe Book

Suzy says; ‘In August 2016 my Mum died 4 1/2 months after being diagnosed with Lymphoma and in March 2019, my Dad died 7 months after being diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome.

In the aftermath of my bereavements, I searched online for support and help, (and just to feel like I wasn’t alone) and came across The Good Grief Trust. The real life stories and quotes were incredibly comforting and helped me to feel like everything I was feeling was absolutely normal.

Right up until it happened, death was my biggest fear. But I’m here, surviving, talking and living. I truly believe that the work that The Good Grief Trust does is so important to help those of us experiencing grief to experience it within a community of people who truly understand.

I am delighted to become an Ambassador for The Good Grief Trust. I love the Pop Up Cafe idea and I’m a big believer in the power of a cuppa and a slice of something sweet to help people open up, talk and share experiences.

I’d love to bring my baking expertise in to help create some delicious bakes for The Good Grief Trust and to show how comforting food can be the bereaved.’
